Cancers: a dictionary to know it all...
The Nantes-Atlantique Cancer Center in western France, has drawn up a new website. Its main interest is that just everybody can refer to it. Not only those people living in the Nantes area. It has a great wealth of information, although only in French...
Epidemiology, screening, therapeutic approaches and caring... Actually, its most spectacular feature is an A to Z Dictionary of cancers. For example the section devoted to Breast delivers quite an interesting part on self-examination and the signs which should lead a woman to see a doctor.
More than a mine of information on cancers and target-organs, this is a real medical dictionary. Abstracts on different types of examinations (radiology, scintigraphy...) are also available. More surprising, but not the least stimulating, one can also find History characters as different as former French President François Mitterrand, Adolf Hitler or Late Pope Pie XII... and also Charles F. Kettering, one of the founders of the automotive giant General Motors! Go and have a look, it’s worth it.
