FluTrop – the avian flu information website
CIRAD, the International Cooperation Centre for Agronomical Research and Development, has announced the launch of a new website devoted to avian flu. FluTrop has been designed by experts at CIRAD and contains a wealth of information on the disease.
Virology, ecology, epidemology… this new interactive platform on avian flu research and surveillance is extremely easy to use. Organised topic by topic, the site provides users with fast access to the information they need. Up-to-date news is obviously a key aspect and there is an area devoted specifically to this and entitled, naturally enough – All the news. This gives information on where outbreaks have occurred and, importantly, the number of avian flu outbreaks still active.
