Room in the hospital for beauty and well-being

And in ten hospitals, for La Vie, de plus belle… This association which organises free beauty and well-being treatment to women undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, is now present in ten hospitals in France.
Unfortunately only one of them is outside the Paris area : the Polyclinique du Bois in Lille, North of France. The others are all located in Paris and its suburbs. After starting to operate in the René Huguenin Centre in Saint-Cloud, at the Institut Gustave Roussy in Villejuif and in the Parisian hospitals in Cochin, Saint-Louis and the Peupliers, the association has just opened four new centres. Three are located in Paris (Beaujon, Georges Pompidou and Saint-Antoine) and one in Villejuif (Paul Brousse).
The beauty centres are run by voluntary beauticians. They provide practical advice to participants and enable them to discover makeup techniques adapted to their situation. A film on how to place a turban on one’s head or how to choose a wig is shown to the participants. A makeup bag containing products is also given to them to enable them to prolong this feeling of well-being and confidence at home. A little more effort, and even women outside Paris will be entitled to feel beautiful (again) in hospital! In the meantime, a word of thanks to “La Vie, de plus belle”.
