There’s no better time for a health check!
The end of the summer break is an excellent time to decide to take stock of your health. You are in good mental and physical shape. You can’t blame any problems on “the usual tiredness”!... And what’s more, you don’t need to have a vast number of tests and examinations.
Target your efforts according to age:
Your children: are their vaccinations up to date? Check that their height and weight development is correct and that they don’t have any hearing or sight problems;
age 35 to 50, check your metabolism: sugar, uric acid, cholesterol levels. And if you’ve decided to “get back into sport”, ask to do an exercise stress test first. And, gentlemen, after the age of 50, have a rectal examination to check your prostate;
Ladies, should include a “gynaecological check-up”: breast palpation and mammogram if necessary, a smear test every three years if the first two carried out one year apart were negative.
And enjoy your return to work and school!
